
Building Resilience Together Programme
Wicklow Mental Health Association launched their Building Resilience Together In Our Community Programme in Wicklow County Council Buildings in September 2011. The programme was developed with the financial support of Wicklow County Council, Friends of Newcastle Hospital.
The primary aim of the programme was to involve the people of Wicklow in the building of stronger personal, family and community links thus improving their community and lifestyle.
Wicklow MHA encouraged the people of Wicklow to participate in the Building Resilience Together In Our Community Programme by becoming involved in and building links with the many organisations in their communities developing friendships and a sense of belonging.
A useful pamphlet with tips on how to build resilience was introduced.
The programme was rolled out with County Wicklow VEC, County Wicklow Volunteer Centre and Wicklow Sports Partnership as the initial partners.
Wicklow Mental Health Association held a Building Resilience event once again in 2015 in partnership with Kildare Wicklow Education Training Board, County Wicklow Volunteer Centre and Wicklow Sports Partnership.
Wicklow Mental Health Association continue to with many community organisations to develop and strengthen their community and build a better future for the people of Wicklow.
