Wicklow Mental Health Association are holding several events during World Mental Health Week. The theme for the week is Connection
Tuesday, October 8th @ 8.00pm sharp - Dominican Campus – Ecology Centre:
We will be showing 3 short videos prepared by Mental Health Ireland.
The videos include:
(1) Living a Day to Day life with mental-ill health
(2) Recovery from a patient, G.P.’s, health professionals and health services perspective.
(3) Five Ways To Well-being: Connect, Be Active, Take Notice, Keep Learning and Give.
A range of resources for health and well-being will be available.
Tea/Coffee and refreshments will be provided after the event.
Admission is free.

A talk entitled, The Importance of Social Connection to Well-Being will be presented by local therapist Ann Marie Taylor.
Ann Marie will speak about modern life and work patterns which often lead to social isolation which is increasingly common. With the advances in technology and social media many people are experiencing a lack of social connection in their lives. She will talk about social connection and why is it important. What happens if we don't have enough of it- how can we get more? If we don't have enough social connection in our lives, what can we do about it?
Doors open at 7.30 and admission is free. All are welcome!
